Per Molly's request I am writing a remix to a Lady Gaga song. Think "Paparazzi."
To explain the lyrics (ironically): Molly and I were just talking over the phone about how much we like receiving comments on our blogs and how lame it is when nobody writes anything. This song is a radicalized viewpoint based on our discussion. It's not serious. Please don't think I'm crying myself to sleep because nobody reads this.

I feel dirty after writing such a pathetic song. Look, I told Molly I would. It was important. Plus I'm fairly certain she will be the one person reading it so it's safe to say I cannot be embarrassed by it.
Try and rewrite a song you barely know. It is much more difficult than it appears. Scout's honor.

Haha. What are you talking about? I LOVED it! Thank you for rewriting this song for me. Now I know without a doubt your love is true. Just so we're clear, I'm not like a Lady Gaga fan or anything. I do think her songs are fun to sing along to (when I can figure out what the heck she's saying) but she is SUPER strange and even when I do know the lyrics, they probably mean something dirty that I don't even realize. So... What I'm saying is I probably shouldn't have even asked you to learn this song for me. But it means a lot that you. Love you!

ReplyDeleteI secretly read your blog often even though I don't comment... AND this song was actually my favorite... maybe its because I could actually picture the song in my head as I was reading it. (But I did like 99 problems by Jay Z too).
